Idris Elba Replaces Will Smith As Deadshot in ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel It looks highly likely that Idris Elba will be replacing Will Smith in Suicide Squad 2. Will Smith can not reprise his role as ‘Deadshot’ due to a scheduling conflict. Suicide Squad grossed $746 million worldwide. The release date for Suicide Squad 2 is August 6, 2021. Idris Elba is hosting SNL this weekend with musical guest, Khalid. He will also star in the Fast and the Furious spinoff, Hobbs and Shaw alongside Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Jason Statham. What do you think of Idris Elba as Deadshot? If not him, who else do you think would be good for the role?

I personally don’t like it because, Will Smith really captured the sarcastic side of Deashot. He made his character funny. I’m not saying Idris can’t. I just don’t consider him funny…. We’ll see how Idris does this Saturday Night on SNL. Who knows….  Idris just might prove me false.
