For today’s edition of “Won’t He do it” news…….Former Minneapolis Officers Found Guilty In George Floyd Civil Rights Trial.

Three former Minneapolis police officers involved in the arrest and death of George Floyd have been found guilty of violating his civil rights. The jury delivered a guilty verdict on Thursday, after 13 hours of deliberation over two days. They ruled that officers J. Alexander Keung, Thomas Lane, and Tou Thao deprived Floyd of his right to medical care while officer Derek Chauvin pressed his knee on Floyd’s neck.  Thao and Keung are also convicted for failing to intervene during the arrest. The officers could face up to life in prison, but are expected to receive lesser sentences.  Chauvin was convicted of murder and manslaughter last year and pleaded guilty to civil rights charges in December.
