New Beyonce Song From ‘The Lion King’ Is Coming TONIGHT! Walt Disney has announced that Beyonce will curate and produce The Lion King: The Gift, which serves as the movie’s soundtrack. More importantly a song from the album, called “Spirit,” will come out TONIGHT! (June 9th) “It was important that the music was not only performed by the most interesting and talented artists but also produced by the best African producers. Authenticity and heart were important to me,” Beyonce said in a statement. Disney promises global artists giving fans the sounds of Africa on the album which will be released on July 19th to coincide with the movie’s release.
