City Of Louisville Renames Street For Louisville Basketball Legend

The City Of Louisville paid homage by renaming part of Hale Ave, in Louisville’s Westend, after basketball legend, Darrell Griffith.

Lots of dignitaries, luminaries, former Cardinals head couch Denny Crum, former players like Scooter McCray, Milt Wagner and others were on hand for the festive celebration, which took place on Thursday, Dec 2nd.

The former UofL Cardinal was honored with a historic plaque, which was erected at the spot of his former childhood home, now known as Darrell Griffith, AKA Dr. Dunkenstein Way!
