COVID-19 Vaccine Pill Set to Enter Clinical Trials . Oravax is developing a COVID-19 vaccine to be administered in pill form. It hopes to begin human clinical trials by June. Oravax’s venture will be joined by Israeli-American company Oramed and Indian company Premas Biotech. According to Nadav Kidron, CEO of Oramed, an oral vaccine could “potentially [enable] people to take the vaccine themselves at home.”. The vaccine could also be stored at room temperature after being shipped in a regular refrigerator, . “making it logistically easier to get it anywhere around the world,” Kidron said. Other companies are attempting to develop second-generation vaccines as well, including oral and nasal versions. More research and testing is required for all of the potential vaccines
