Dwyane Wade Defends His Scoring on Aaron Gordon’s Dunk Saturday night’s NBA Slam Dunk Contest during the NBA All Star Weekend was both entertaining and controversial. Throughout the entire contest, Orlando’s Aaron Gordon consistently scored the max 50 points. It came down to him and Miami Heat’s Derrick Jones, Jr. Both men were tied and it came down to a dunk-off. Aaron jumped over Boston’s 7-5 Tacko Fall and dunked on the first attempt and did not receive the max points. Dwyane Wade who was one of the judges, was one of the 3 judges to give him a 9 and it caused Aaron to lose the contest for the second time. A lot of people are giving Dwyane “heat” over his score because Derrick currently plays for D-Wade’s old team, the Miami Heat. Wade said, I wasn’t the only one who gave him a nine. Aaron is not going to lose any sleep about not winning a dunk contest. Well, that may not be totally true. Aaron said, it’s a wrap. I feel like I should have two trophies. He said he is no longer doing the dunk contest during the NBA All Star Weekend. In your opinion, who won the slam dunk contest?
