George Floyd’s 4-Year Old Grandniece Shot

A 4-year-old girl who was injured in a New Year’s Day shooting in Houston has been identified as George Floyd’s grandniece.

The victim, Arianna, was asleep in bed Saturday when she was struck in the torso by a bullet, after someone opened fire inside her apartment.

Her father says she suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung and liver. She’s currently stable after undergoing surgery.

According to local reporter Mycah Hatfield, Arianna was “front and center at the marches and rallies in her Uncle George Floyd’s case”.
The shooter has not yet been arrested.
