Jam Master Jay’s Murder Suspects Won’t Face Death Penalty

Well, Damn! Looks like the person responsible for Jam Master J’s death, won’t be facing his own death!

Prosecutors have decided not to seek the death penalty for the two men accused of murdering Run-DMC deejay Jam Master Jay in his Queens studio in 2002. As you recall, the case was cold for almost two decades, but was reopened last year with the arrests of both Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan Jr.

U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland directed the Brooklyn U.S. Attorney’s Office not to seek capital punishment for murder suspects Washington and Jordan.
