Jussie Smollet Put Into Psychiatry Ward

The brother of Jussie Smollet has said that the actor has been put into a psychiatry ward while incarcerated.

“So Jussie is currently in a psych ward at Cook County Jail,” Jocqui Smollet said in an Instagram video. “What’s very concerning is there was a note attached to his paperwork today and put on the front of his jail cell saying that he’s at risk of self-harm.”

“He is very stable,” Jocqui added. “He is very strong. He is very healthy and ready to take on the challenge that has ultimately has been put up against him.”

Jussie had mentioned at his sentencing that he was “not suicidal.”
