Mary J. Blige Reportedly Owes More Than $1M In Back Taxes

According to Bossip, Mary J. Blige owes $1,198,161 in back taxes, a lien was filed against the singer back in July for unpaid taxes from 2016 and 2017.

Blige hasn’t filed a response to the lien and in the past hasn’t wanted to deal with it saying, “I’m just being straight-up honest. I never wanted to do all this stuff, but after what I’ve been through and all the mess that I’m in …You have to pay those taxes.”

Blige has been in this boat before owing $3.4 million in unpaid taxes in 2013, defaulting on bank loans in the amount of $2.2 million and $500,000 in late 2012 and early 2013.

Blige pays ex-husband and manager, Martin “Kendu” Isaacs $30,000 per month in spousal support. She calls Isaacs a “con-artist” who never loved her and just wanted her money.
