Notorious B.I.G. MetroCards being sold on eBay for nearly $5K

The limited edition MetroCards that were released in NYC this past weekend to commemorate Biggie’s 50th birthday are going for BIG bucks. They are being re-sold on eBay for almost $5,000. Only 50,000 cards were made available this past weekend.
In order to get the card from the MTA, buyers were required to purchase a minimum of two fares. That appears to also be a selling point in the re-sale value.
