Oprah Winfrey Tears Up When Asked About How Gayle King Is Doing Gayle King has received backlash after her line of questioning about Kobe Bryant’s legacy during her interview with Lisa Leslie on CBS This Morning. King’s longtime best friend Oprah Winfrey was asked how Gayle was holding up. A tearful Winfrey told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on Today, “She is not doing well because she now has death threats and has to now travel with security. She is feeling very much attacked.” Winfrey continued saying, “{King is} not doing well and feels that she was put in a really terrible position” by CBS for releasing just the much-talked-about clip.
