The final chapter of Surviving R. Kelly aired on Lifetime on Monday evening (January 2nd).
The docuseries detailed the story of Ebonié Doyle, who started dating the singer in 1993 at 16. “My friends and I went to a show, and he was there with other artists, and I just remember his voice was just amazing,” Doyle told Rolling Stone. “After the show, my girlfriend and I were waiting outside, we were ready to go to our cars, and a limousine pulls up.”

Doyle claims she and Kelly were intimate in a hotel room, and he would wait for her outside her high school. She was eventually kicked out by her mother for dating the singer, and she began living with Kelly.

Doyle says she found a sex tape featuring Aaliyah, and Kelly caught her watching the tape. “The tape that I put in was of him and Aaliyah together. What I saw on that tape was he and Aaliyah being intimate. They were on the tour bus, and everything that I had asked him was confirmed on the tape,” said Doyle. The two argued, and Doyle says Kelly pushed her down a flight of stairs.

Doyle defends Kelly, saying, “he’s still important to me.” Part two of Surviving R. Kelly: The Final Chapter airs Tuesday (January 3rd) on Lifetime.
