The Trinity High School football team will get the rematch it’s wanted since September. Trinity (12-2) advanced to face Male (14-0) in next Sunday’s Class 6A state final. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at the University of Kentucky’s Kroger Field in Lexington. Male has won three straight meetings against Trinity, including a 20-17 double-overtime thriller on Sept. 20. Many expected the Bulldogs and Shamrocks to meet again in the state final, and that was sealed Friday with victories by both. “You guys are going to write ‘revenge’ and all that, but no,” Trinity coach Bob Beatty said. “We have to prepare and win the day.”
