SZA Breaks Record For Longest Running Album By Black Woman!
Mariah Carey’s debut album held the previous Billboard record until SZA’s album “SOS” broke it. Next month, SZA is nominated for nine Grammy awards, making her the most nominated artist for 2024. SZA’s incredible 2023 included the release of her sophomore album, “SOS,” which was first released in December 2022 and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in the US. SZA’s “SOS” is the singer’s first number-one album and is her first release since her 2017 debut album, “Ctrl.” SOS has broken yet another record, surpassing Mariah Carey’s self-titled 1990 debut album to become the longest-running Black woman’s top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart (now at 50 weeks). What is your favorite song on SZA’s “SOS” album?
