Taraji P. Henson on Mental Health and Menopause In a recent interview with Self magazine Taraji P.Henson is opening up about her struggles with mental health and the connection it has to menopause. She said she needed to come to terms with her mental health after the 2012 death of Trayvon Martin. Taraji has a son and at the time, her son and Trayvon were close in age. She described her depression as a darkness hard to climb out of. After seeing a therapist, she realized some of her mood swings could be related to menopause.
