Lizzo Kicks Off the Grammys With a Power-Packed Performance and a Tribute to Kobe Bryant Lizzo set the tone of the evening with a promise that “tonight is for Kobe,” before kicking off the Grammys with a performance of “Cuz I Love You.” Afterward, Grammy host Alicia Keys gave a moving speech encouraging the audience to let the music heal them before singing “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye To Yesterday” with Boyz II Men.  Other artists to pay tribute to Bryant included Aerosmith and Run-DMC, who performed “Walk This Way” and Lil Nas X draped Bryant’s jersey on a chair during his performance of “Old Town Road.” During a tribute to slain artist Nipsey Hussle, DJ Khaled shouted: “Rest in Peace Nipsey Hussle, rest in peace Kobe Bryant.” Alicia Keys closed the Grammys asking for support for Bryant’s family.  How are you honoring Kobe Bryant’s life?
