Two Reportedly Arrested for the 2002 Slaying of Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay. It’s been eighteen years since Run-DMC’s Jam Master Jay was murdered. The murder of Jay, whose real name Jason Mizell, has remained unsolved.   However, this afternoon federal prosecutors indicted Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan, Jr. for Jay’s murder.  Jay was 37 years old at the time of his death back in 2002.
